Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has been told to hold talks with Members of the County Assembly (MCAs) over frequent wrangles.
Addressing residents at Kikuyu town yesterday, county senator Kimani Wamatangi said that persistent wrangles between the Governor and MCAs will paralyze provision of services.
Wamatangi said that the wrangles pitting the Governor and MCAs continue to paint the county negatively.
“While leaders in other counties across the country are working, ours are engaging in wrangles,” he said.
The Senator asked Kabogo to create an environment where all leaders will work together towards development.
He added that Kiambu is the home of the President and that leader must show unity and embrace each other.
Wamatangi added that unity of leaders will propel development saying that most of locals leave below the poverty line.
The senator said that the county has enough resources that should be used to promote the living standards of the people.
Wamatangi said that the senate will continue to agitate for laws and policies that will promote devolution.
He added that devolution was meant to bring services closer to the people and that leaders must ensure that people have access to services.
