Kabogo said that tolerance was key to peace and unity in the country, adding that though politicians have different opinions, they should learn on how to accommodate each other.

Kabogo, who spoke when he attended the Akorino church Annual General Convention meeting on Sunday at Kasarani Stadium said that political leaders must spearhead unity across the country.

“As politicians, we have different views and opinions on issues, but irrespective of our different opinions we must learn on how to embrace and accommodate each other,” he said.

He warned that act of intolerance being perpetuated by some politicians was a threat to peace, and called on the religious leaders to work towards uniting Kenyans as the 2017 elections approaches.

He observed religious leaders have a crucial role to play in uniting the country, further asking the religious leaders to be vocal and take part in national issues.
