Speaking in a local radio station today, Kabogo said that Waititu's win is a win for the Jubilee Alliance Party (JAP) which has now gotten its first MP.

"Politics are now over and it is now time to work together for the good of Kiambu residents. I congratulate Waititu for winning the election and being the first JAP MP to be elected,” said Kabogo.

Asked about Waititu's bid for Kiambu governorship in 2017, Kabogo said that the seat does not belong to him but to the voters of Kiambu.

"The seat does not belong to Kabogo and it is upon the people to decide who to give it to when that time comes. For now I prefer focusing on development,” he added.

The governor also asked his fellow elected leaders in the county to come to the table and discuss the problems that have been affecting the county rather than trying to undermine and discredit his work.
