P { marg During an event where he flagged off advanced life support ambulances worth over 40 million shillings for the county at Lussegeti health centre in Kikuyu sub-county, Kabogo categorically told the opposition to stop mentioning the President's name.
Kabogo said President Uhuru Kenyatta was the representative of 40 million Kenyans not only in the country, but across Africa and throughout the world and should be treated with respect and that included not mentioning his name in a careless manner.
“We hear the CORD members mentioning the President's name every now and then, and in different public forums. I ask them to stop this tendency and concentrate on developing the country, a more important activity for the future of this country,” said Kabogo.
He accused the opposition of having their priorities wrong since it was not yet campaign time, but time to work and grow the country and her economy.
He said the president was busy at work and should not be sidetracked by opposition's sideshows.
“What development work has CORD done in this country. Let them tell us. Let Senator Muthama and others tell us what Cord is doing to improve this country in matters development and not just mention the president's name carelessly,” said Kabogo.
Kabogo strongly defended devolution saying it would improve the life of Kenyans, where he talked at length about health in Kiambu County.
He urged medics not to be incited into paralysing health services like it was recently witnessed through a strike.
He also assured of the best health services from the sub-county hospitals to her patients, and this included provision of drugs.
