Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has rubbished claims by a section of politicians in the county that he is using public resources to campaign for 2017 general elections.

Speaking in Ruiru on Tuesday, Kabogo dismissed the claims saying that he has not even started campaigning.

He termed the claims malicious and meant to tarnish his name.

“People should focus on their work and stop malice claims against me or my government,” he said during a meet the people tour on Tuesday.

The governor said that he has enough for his campaigns and will never use public resources for his own personal benefit.

A section of politicians have been alleging  that Kabogo is using public resources for his own benefit.

On Monday, Gatundu North MP Kigo Njenga alleged  that Kabogo was using county government vehicles to campaign.

The MP who spoke at Ihiga-ini primary school in Gatundu North alleged that Kabogo has been using county vehicles and other resources for his personal gain ahead of the 2017 elections.

He said that no public office hold has a right to use public resources for his own benefit.

Governor Kabogo has been going round the county in a meet the people tour to woe for votes as he seeks re-election as governor in 2017.
