[Photo: Courtesy]Kiambu governor William Kabogo has slammed Jubilee Party leader President Uhuru Kenyatta, after he called for a six piece voting pattern in the county.During his campaign tour of the county last month, Kenyatta urged residents to ignore candidates who are not in Jubilee during August elections, by ensuring all Jubilee candidates are elected. However according to Kabogo who lost the Jubilee Party ticket during April primaries to Kabete MP Ferdinand Waititu, calls by Kenyatta will deny Kiambu residents an opportunity to elect leaders with development agenda.Kabogo who is vying to defend his seat as an Independent Candidate, asked residents to vote for whoever they feel is capable of serving them, regardless of their political party."I know he is the leader of his Jubilee Party and so he has the right to defend and protect it. But Kenyans should remember not to elect parties. Kenyans need leaders not political parties to work for them," Kabogo said during an interview on Citizen Radio, Tuesday morning."So if elected, I'll leave in Kiambu to serve the people of Kiambu. Parties don't work. Kenyans should be allowed to vote for whoever they want regardless of their political parties," he added.Kabogo further urged Kiambu residents to team up and support President Uhuru, to ensure he completes his second term after the August 8th polls.
