Kiambu governor William Kabogo has yet hit at DP William Ruto claiming that he is not guaranteed of getting automatic support from Mt. Kenya region.

The embattled governor has been blaming the DP for allegedly plotting his loss in Jubilee primaries where he lost to Kabate MP Ferdinand Waititu.

Speaking on Wednesday in Thika, he said that Kiambu people will commit developmental suicide should they elect his main rival.

“I want to assure Ruto that 2022 won’t be business as usual. We are not going to assure anyone automatic support. He must work hard because things do change,” he said.

Kabogo added: “He imposed people on us and now he wants Kiambu people to commit development suicide. That is unacceptable and we won.t take it seriously.”

A section of politicians mainly from Central Kenya who lost in Jubilee primaries have been accusing Ruto of plotting their downfall.

Despite the growing anxiety, Ruto who has been campaigning with President Uhuru Kenyatta in the region has always avoided meddling in local politics.
