Kiambu County Governor William Kabogo has exuded confidence of securing his seat come 2017 general elections.
Speaking in Thika Town on Wednesday after trying to resolve a land tussle between the county government and Thika Prison, Kabogo said he is not shaken by those who have started early campaigns to dislodge him from the seat in 2017.
"You can't just come from nowhere and say you want to challenge Kabogo. Being a governor is no joke and that is why Kenyans said they want governors to be degree holders. Kenyans do not want fake graduates. People with fake degrees can't do this work," said Kabogo.
He said he will not be drawn to the early campaigns but will continue to work to deliver his promises to Kiambu people.
"If you want to become the governor of Kiambu, you must prove to Kiambu voters that you are worth their votes. Winning the governor seat here is not easy as some think. It will be so difficult that you won't believe it," he added.
He advised his competitors to be ready for a political 'tsunami' come the general elections.
"You cannot fake history or wisdom. Come 2017 the truth will come out," said Kabogo.
