Speaking on Thursad at Limuru Town during the flagging off of two garbage trucks, Kabogo adamantly rejected the call by the Senate Committee by insisting that he is innocent.

“I will not appear before the Senate. I have committed no crime to warrant me to appear before them. I have committed an offence, let them go to the police who will arrest me,” said Kabogo.

The county  boss  was expected to appear before the senate after a summon by the Public Accounts and Investment Committee that is chaired by Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale to answer questions on the spending of funds in Kiambu County.

Kabogo maintained that he is answerable to Kiambu residents who gave him the reins of leadership.

“I was elected by Kiambu residents to serve them but not the senate,” said Kabogo.

He cautioned the MCA’s against provoking utterance that would trigger the senate to summon him.

“Kiambu MCAs should concentrate on the development agenda and stop politicking,” said Kabogo.

He also revealed that the he was ready to relocate the county’s headquarters to Kiambu Town from Thika.
