Kiambu county governor William Kabogo has officially launched the County Schools free Water Tanks Program to ensure adequate supply of water in the Kiambu Schools.

The tank which will be distributed in all primary and secondary public schools which have inadequate supply of water will help ease the learning conditions of the county and ensure high academic performance according to Kabogo.

The county boss said that his government is committed in ensuring the Kiambu students have a conducive learning environment and supply of water is a fundamental aspect in performing well in various schools.

The water tanks according to the governor was part of Kiambu Educational Program for the year 2015 and Kabogo is optimistic that education in Kiambu will be high as opposed to last year where it was reported school performed poorly due to insufficient supply of resources, water being part of the deal.

The governor said that he will work towards the betterment of the county and will not relent to other politicians who politicize his development in the county.

The county leader who was speaking on Tuesday in Thika town in a press conference urged the Kiambu leaders to promote education in their wards and constituencies by ensuring education are the first development which will boost the young towards vision 2030.

Kabogo urged a section of leaders who have not introduced feeding program to the kindergarten to fasten their belts and ensure the pupils are tamed to school to minimize cases of school dropouts which has been on rampant in the county.

He said that Kiambu government will embrace education in the county and has urged students to keep learning and to be the next leaders of Kiambu.
