Kiambu County MCAs and their county boss William Kabogo have been blamed for embezzlement of public funds meant for county development projects.
Speaking to journalists in his office on Monday, Juja Member of Parliament Francis Munyua said that the county leaders are behind Kabogo unanswered senate summons as they have joined together to misuse the public funds.
He added that the leaders have been harassing anyone who tends to go contrary to their wish and agreements citing the recent dismissal of the county assembly speaker.
“They have so far dismissed two county assembly speakers who were very hardworking. They have appointed a lazy one who helps them pass bills to benefit them,” he said.
He added: “The financial bill they are using at the moment is illegal and it was never passed by anyone. That is why the senate has been summoning governor Kabogo and he has never responded to the summons.”
Munyua also revealed that Juja residents have so far benefited from 43 million shillings from the bursary funds he introduced in the area.
He urged those who have not yet applied for the funds to get and fill the bursary application forms at his office.
The MP has vowed to promote education in the area.
