It appears many are not happy with Kiambu Governor William Kabogo's recent remarks that the Mt Kenya region would not vote William Ruto president in the 2022 elections.
Leaders have come out clearly to criticise Kabogo's remarks but it is Radio Citizen political analyst Waweru Mburu whose unhappiness cannot be let unmentioned.
On his satirical Yaliyotendeka program on Radio Citizen on Thursday evening, Waweru hit out on Kabogo and even went ahead to satirise the governor's personality, saying that his name insinuated he was 'a small buffalo'.
Waweru added that if Kabogo wanted to be Deputy President, he would have to first deal deal with his MPs and opponents in Kiambu, especially Ferdinad Waititu.
Waititu has been criticising Kabogo's leadership in Kiambu and according to Waweru Mburu, it is only after Kabogo has handled people like Waititu that he can think of eyeing the Deputy President seat.
Several other leaders including Kabete MP Ferdinad Waititu have criticised him saying he is not the Mt Kenya spokesperson and thus his remarks are personal.
“Kabogo has no power to speak on behalf of the people of Mt Kenya. We would like to state that his utterances are nothing but a personal position on the matter,” said Waititu.
Other leaders who hit greatly on Kabogo's remarks are Alfred Keter, Kiragu Chege, Maina Kamanda and Karungu Thang'wa.
Kenyans on social media were also not left out and came questioning when Kabogo had become the spokesman of the Central Kenya region with others terming him a 'disappointment to the Jubilee government'.
