Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo on Tuesday met opposition chief Raila Odinga at his Capitol Hill office in Nairobi.
Although the two leaders did not immediately reveal details of their meeting, both said on social media platforms that the meeting revolved around development as well as unity for the divided country that just came out of an intense campaign period and two elections.
Raila only said on his official Twitter account: "Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo paid me a courtesy call at my office. We discussed a wide range of issues relating to our journey as a nation," while Kabogo twitted that "they discussed a wide range of issues. Uniting Kenya top of them."
The meeting came two weeks after Raila met one of his greatest critics within Jubilee, Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria who encouraged other Jubilee leaders to embrace unity especially after Raila's meeting with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Jubilee leaders have been warming up to Raila after the historic meeting that took place on March at Uhuru's office at Harambee House Nairobi.
Kabogo in the run up to the 2013 general elections was among leaders from Central Kenya who boldly told Raila to forget the presidency. Raila has contested for the country's top seat four times.
