Speaking in Nakuru on Sunday during Uhuruto campaigns led by Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru, the politicians were categorical that Raila Odinga should participate in polls.

The leaders said it was wrong for Kabogo to make such sentiments at a time when President Uhuru Kenyatta is busy campaigning.

On his part, Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria who also attended the meeting said that Raila is fond of seeking sympathy in leadership.

“Those claiming that ballot boxes will not be transported to some areas are ill advised. Elections will go on as slated,” he said.

Legislators Naomi Shaban, Cecily Mbarire, Susan Kihika and Millicent Omanga who also attended the function called on women to reach out to those in the grassroots in order to campaign for Uhuruto.
