Residents of Ngoliba will have a reason to smile after Kiambu county boss governor William Kabogo graced the opening of Ngoliba market and dispensary in the region.

The residents had earlier complained of lack of market space and dispensary which was proving to be hectic for the residents to travel up to Thika town for services and medical checkup.

The market space is said to accommodate more than 50 spaces for the business stalls which Kabogo said will greatly improve the economy of the county.

He said that it will help create employment for the residents in order to make their ends meet and fight unemployment which is a major cancer not only in Kiambu but the entire nation as well.

The dispensary according to the governor will greatly assists area residents in time of emergency at the odd hours where many women were giving birth on the road and some in their homes due to lack of health center in the region.

 The county boss said the market will be operational in the next two weeks and urge the local traders to take advantage of the facility which has been constructed from tax payers’ money.

He said that his government is keener in economic development and eradicating unemployment citing the recent opening of modern 60 stalls in Gatundu south last week.

Kabogo has however hailed the residents for being patient and promised them for more development as the days goes by.

The legislator who was speaking on Tuesday at Ngoliba market also disbursed bursaries to the Thika needy student’s beneficiary to boost their education as well.
