Kiambu county governor William Kabogo has officially opened the Gatundu south Modern bus park which has over 60 modern shops and clean sanitary blocks with adequate clean water.
The bus park is meant to boost the economic status of the sub county and create employment for the area residents according to the county governor.
He said that the modern bus park is among the first modern market in Kenya and thus the people of Kiambu should embrace the good development in the county.
“This market is among the first modern market in the country and thus Kiambu we are ready to work with modern facilities,” said Kabogo.
The area residents had earlier expressed concerns with the inadequate water in the region and poor state of market that was in a terrible state and called on the area MP Moses Kuria to come on the rescue.
According to Kabogo, the market will earn revenue to the county and thus urged the youth to come up with businesses to fill up the stalls and create employment for them.
Kabogo who was speaking on Friday in Gatundu south revealed that his government has set aside enough funds for the development of the county and thus advocate the youths to nurture their talents and come up with business idea.
The county boss has however cautioned the area residents against leaders who know nothing but incite them terming it as petty politics.
He said that in partnership with Moses Kuria, they will embark in diminishing unemployment and crime in the constituency for a better tomorrow.
