Kiambu Governor, William Kabogo, has expressed his gratitude over Witeithie slum upgrade initiative.

Speaking in Nairobi when he paid a courtesy call to the deputy president, Kabogo said that the slum upgrade is driving Kiambu County towards development agenda.

He said that once people live in hygienic and smart environment they are able to think of business and are able to focus on the important issues affecting them as a society.

Kabogo also thanked Convivium Africa President, Alfonso Ippolito, for taking part in the slum upgrade in the country.

He said that currently slums were becoming bearable despite the earlier days where they were characterized by insecurity and poor sanitation.

“I would wish to officially express my gratitude to the president and his deputy for the slum upgrade initiative in Kiambu County. This initiative has helped residents to tackle insecurity cases among other vices,” notes Kabogo.

The governor said that his government will continue supporting slum upgrade initiative since they are of great help to residents.
