Addressing Thika residents on Tuesday, Kabogo pledged to tackle security, health, land issues and power supply issues for the residents.

The residents especially those in the interior of these parts have continually been living without access to power and health facilities, a challenge that has left them lagging behind in development.

“We walk for long distances to access health care, but we are happy that the governor has resolved to heed our plight and we hope he will accord us necessary help as soon as possible”, said Judy Muthoni, a resident.

The residents, among them the business community and traders in the area, vowed to work hand in hand with the county government stating this initiative will in the long run spearhead growth of businesses.

“We warmly welcome the initiative and we look forward to working with the county government since this translates to growth of our businesses when basic social amenities are improved’, said James Gitahi, a local shop owner.

Kabogo thanked the residents for the continued support and their allegiance to his government.

“I want to thank all of you for the success we have attained so far. I look forward to initiating more development projects because our agenda is driven by the public's voice”, said Kabogo.
