Kiambu governor William Kabogo has bashed Cord leader Raila Odinga over claims that Jubilee government is allegedly using the National Intelligence Service (NIS) to register voters in Ethiopia and Uganda.
Kabogo states that Raila is a sympathy seeker and only wants to divert Jubilee government development agenda.
“Raila is only interested in getting Kenyans sympathy through reckless remarks,” he said.
Speaking in Juja during a meet the people tour on Wednesday, Kabogo warned that Raila’s reckless remarks could plug the country into chaos.
The Kiambu governor asked the former Prime Minister to provide evidence on claims that NIS is being used to register non-Kenyans.
“Raila should stop playing politics with peace and stability of this country,” he said.
He added that Raila and his team has sensed defeat and is looking for someone to blame.
Kabogo asked Kenyans to ignore Raila’s claims terming them as sheer propaganda.
Raila has been on the receiving end after he alleged a plot by Jubilee government to rig the August 8 polls.
The former Prime Minister during a rally in Kilifi on Tuesday alleged that NIS was being used to register voters in Uganda and Ethiopia allegations that Jubilee government has vehemently refuted.
The Cord leader said that he will not allow President Uhuru Kenyatta’s government to rig the August 8 general elections.
