This comes after the Garissa town MP demanded that the government should pay the multiparty hero before his burial.

The Kenyan court rewarded Kenneth Matiba a huge compensation last year due to the torture he underwent during Moi regime.

Kabogo took to Twitter to post a sarcastic reply to a statement by Duale to the effect that the Government would expedite payment of Sh 945 Million that Matiba was awarded by the Judiciary over the torture and harassment he faced in the hands of state agents during Moi regime.

The former governor loudly wondered in sarcasm if Duale was pushing for the payment hoping that the late Matiba would be able to use it.

"So that he can use it?" Kabogo's brief tweet read.

The tweet was widely shared across social media platforms resulting to a heated debate.

Other Kenyan leaders have also echoed same sentiments to have Kenneth Matiba compensated.

The multiparty leader died on Sunday in Nairobi hospital after suffering stroke for years.

NASA leader Raila Odinga who visited his family Limuru also echoed similar demands.

Raila, who was accompanied by his wife Ida, urged the Government to ensure it expedited the process of compensating Matiba's family and those who had suffered brutality at the hands of previous regimes.kABOG
