He reveals that he is convinced that the county does not need the 72 vehicles worth Sh290 million and ten speedboats, saying the county needs more roads before they acquire the vehicles.

The 10 boats, which according to Kabogo were intended to fight illicit brew, the MCA said it is a waste of resources, and Kiambu County does not need them at the moment.

He said that Kiambu needs water, not for the boats to ride on, but for the people to drink and agriculture due to inadequate water supply in some region in the county.

He said that it is not politics but the realities that the county government should recheck before embarking on dreams which will not be applied and squandering tax payers’ money.

The legislator, who was speaking on Wednesday in his ward, said that the Kiambu residents are in dire need of not only water but medicine and employment, thus the money should be directed to such program.

“I am now much more convinced that the county does not need the 72 vehicles worth Sh290 Million and the 10 speedboats worth Sh120 million that the county governor and his company are proposing to buy,” said Karugo.

“Priority is roads at least for these cars to have someplace to propel on, water not for the boats but for drinking and agriculture, medicine, salary for casuals and this is not politics but reality,” he added.
