Speaking in an interview on Citizen TV Monday,Kabogo revealed that he currently doesn't have any plans to go for the nation's top spot maintaining that his attention is currently on his job at the helm of the county further saying that he will be seeking to defend his seat in the coming polls before making any decision towards vying for Presidency.

''I am currently the Governor of Kiambu county, a position I am seeking to defend in the coming election and I currently have no plans to run for Presidency,'' said Kabogo.

Kabogo who will be defending his seat on an independent ticket after losing in the race for the Jubilee Party ticket to Kabete  parliamentarian Ferdinand Waititu however admitted that  the issue has been raised over and over again and has over time attracted his attention but he is yet to make the big decision.

''I have no plans of vying for the seat as things stand now but since many people are already speaking about it and my supporters are urging me to go for it,i have started putting it into consideration. However, that will only have to come after i finish working for Kiambu residents,'' he said further expressing confidence and maintaining that despite having held smaller offices so far he could still perform if he were to be elected President.

''I believe i am among the senior leaders in the Central region and the entire nation and i am sure that i would perform well and deliver in whatever office people elected me into,''he said.
