Ex-Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has reignited rivalry with Deputy President William Ruto, insisting that Mt. Kenya voters will not be ambushed to vote for him.
Having helped President Uhuru Kenyatta secure his second term, Ruto is hopeful of a payback from the Central region.
But at Thika Town on Sunday, Kabogo said Kenyans will vote a leader of their choice come 2022, adding that he intends to join the race.
"We are not political wheelbarrows to be pushed right, left and center by anyone," said Kabogo in yet another explosive jibe at the DP.
He added: "We are all here to see, keep your eyes open. The game has just started."
During Jubilee party primaries in March last year, Kabogo, who lost to incumbent Ferdinand Waititu, linked DP Ruto to his loss.
And he has since formed a group of Mt. Kenya leaders mainly those who lost in 2017 with sources saying that elders are silently pushing for his inclusion in cabinet.
