Governor William Kabogo has warned Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho asking him to stop lecturing President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Kabogo says as Jubilee politicians they will not allow anyone including Joho to insult the President.
The Kiambu governor accused Joho of being led by selfish interests in his attack on President Uhuru Kenyatta.
“We are telling Joho to stop lecturing and insulting President Kenyatta and Jubilee government at large,” he said on Friday during a briefing with journalists at Kasarani stadium where Jubilee Party was holding a meeting with delegates.
The governor asked Joho to focus on issues in the opposition and stop intruding into Jubilee government affairs.
Kabogo said that claims by Joho that Jubilee government is riding on projects started by the coalition government are false.
“Joho and other opposition politicians should stop confusing Kenyans by spreading propaganda in regard to Jubilee development agenda,” he said.
Kabogo asked Kenyans not to be confused by tricks allegedly being employed by the opposition to cause anxiety ahead of the August 8 polls.
A section of Jubilee politicians has accused Joho and the opposition of allegedly demeaning and disrespecting the presidency.
Two weeks ago Joho lectured President Kenyatta in regards to Jubilee development agenda claiming that Uhuru is re-launching projects that had been earlier initiated by the Coalition government.
