Kabogo on Monday said that he is preparing legal suits against the eight MPs.

The MPs, according to Kabogo are Ferdinand Waititu (Kabete), Kimani Ichungwa (Kikuyu), Jude Njomo (Kiambu Town), Alice Ng’ang’a (Thika), John Kiragu (Limuru) and three others who he did not name.

Kabogo said that the MPs have been spreading wrong information on the statement he is purportedly said to have made.

“My lawyers are already preparing legal suits against the eight MPs and some MCAs,” he said on Monday.

Kabogo accused the MPs of allegedly seeking favours from Deputy President William Ruto and aiming at maligning his name.

The governor added that the MPs are using his name to gain political mileage. “These (MPs) are the people who have lost out with their constituents and want to gain relevance by using my name,” said the Governor.

Kabogo maintained that his remarks were misinterpreted, adding that he supports DP Ruto’s candidature for presidency in 2022.

Kabogo also urged the media to get translators who can help them translate information from Kikuyu to Swahili or English, adding that the media misquoted him.

The Kiambu Governor has been on the receiving end for the past one week over the remarks where he is said to have claimed that Mt Kenya region might not support DP Ruto’s presidential bid in 2022.
