Governor William Kabogo has threatened take necessary legal action against some leaders in the county who are tarnishing his name by branding him a drug baron.
Speaking at Gachororo Ward on Friday, the Governor refuted claims that he is a drug baron saying he acquired his wealth through genuine channels.
Kabogo accused his political enemies of spreading rumours that he is a drug baron and that his wealth was acquired through selling drugs.
“I am consulting with my lawyers on what legal action to take against those who are tarnishing my name as a drug baron,” said Kabogo.
The Governor alleged that some people are keen to bring him down by all means, noting that he has nothing to fear.
The Kiambu county boss said his track record is clean and that he will continue to focus on development.
He asked his political detractors to keep off, accusing them of being envious of his development and influence.
“They will not bring me down no matter how they try, I will remain focused on the real issues facing the people,” he said.
The Governor asked leaders who are not happy with him to wait until when they will get a leader who plays to their petty politics.
