Governor William Kabogo has asked ward administrators in the county to advance government agenda at grass root level.
Addressing residents at Kikuyu town after issuing bursary funds to needy but bright students on Wednesday, Mr Kabogo said the role of administrators is to ensure that government projects are implemented and people get services.
He said through Ward Administrators the government is able to reach out at the people in grass root levels.
Kabogo said that his government has initiated development projects in every corner of the county.
He lashed out at some politicians who have accused him of concentrating development in one area saying that his government is not discriminating.
“It is untrue for some people to claim that the government is favoring some areas at the expense of others in terms of development,” he said.
Kabogo said development projects were being initiated across Kiambu on equal basis.
He said Kiambu residents elected him as governor and that it is his work to ensure that they all access development projects.
Kabogo at the same time urged MCAs to come up with laws and policies that will advance development.
Kabogo intimated that MCAs are mandated to create polices and laws that will foster development.
He observed that the county has been unable to initiate development projects for lack of proper laws and policies.
“Our MCAs should fast-track creation of laws and policies that will trigger development so that people can get services they deserve,” he said.
Kabogo urged residents to support his government as it finalises development projects before the 2017 general elections.
“We are aiming at implementing all development projects before we go into the 2017 elections,” said Kabogo.
