A group of politicians from the Mt Kenya region, have pledged to unite, and form an alliance, to rally behind president Uhuru Kenyatta's re-election bid.
The politicians lost in Jubilee Party primaries, but affirmed they support the president's quest for a second term, according to Milele FM.Led by Kiambu governor William Kabogo, his Nakuru counterpart Kinuthia Mbugua, their Kirinyaga counterpart Joseph Ndathi and Mukurweini MP Kabando wa Kabando, the Jubilee politicians met for the first time, for closed door talks.Speaking Friday, they said they would invite the president in a month time, for him to tell them his plans, for the August 8, polls, after which they will kick off a re-election campaign for Uhuru.
Kagogo lost to Kabete MP Ferdinand Waititu, Kinuthia Mbugua lost to former NTSA chairman and MP Lee Kinyanjui, while Kabando lost to A.G Kiai.
