Kiambu Governor, William Kabogo, has urged university graduates from the county to use the skills they have to transform the society positively.
The Governor says that graduates have skills and knowledge that if well used will address challenges facing the society.
Speaking at Githunguri trading center on Saturday, Kabogo said that young people are pillars of the society.
“Graduates should use the skills they have received from university to improve society's livelihood,” notes Kabogo.
He urged youths to start thinking on how to create job opportunities instead of spending years searching for employment.
He observed that various programmes and initiatives are in place to help youth create job opportunities.
The Governor said that through such initiatives the youth will be able to promote their ideas and start employment.
At the same time, Kabogo urged graduates to seek sponsorship to further their studies in their areas of interest.
He said that the county is collaborating with some countries and organizations worldwide to offer scholarships to graduates who might wish to further their studies.
