Kiambu County leaders have been urged to join hands and work together for development purpose.
Ruiru Member of Parliament, Esther Gathogo, said development can only be achieved when leaders work in harmony.
Speaking to journalists at Ruiru trading centre, Gathogo urged Governor William Kabogo to unite area leaders for the sake of county’s development.
“It is governor’s responsibility to unite leaders so that they can work together. My kind appeal to leaders in Kiambu is accept to bury their differences and work together for development,” notes Gathogo.
The Ruiru legislator observed that recent events have painted the county in bad light.
She said that Kiambu should be leading as an example since it is the home county of the ruling President, Uhuru Kenyatta.
The legislator condemned the weekend chaos that saw hawkers and traders protest over the alleged closure of Madaraka market in Thika.
The MP warned that such incidences may chase away willing investors in the county.
