Governor William Kabogo has revealed that he is ready to work with county elders in the society to administer good leadership for the people of Kiambu and to establish bonding between his government and common Mwananchi.
He said that the elderly have experienced in leadership and that he welcomed any elder in his office to discuss development projects, corruption and misuse of drugs in the community.
Kabogo spoke on Sunday as he toured Kiambu town. He said that he was humble and urged the residents to teach and remind him where he has failed to fulfill his promises. He said this was important since he was just a human being.
He has expressed his concerns with leaders who shun away from the people who elected them to the office saying that these were the acts of the self centered and proud; qualities afoul in political arena.
“Only proud people will not associate with people at the ground, and if a leader cannot come back to the grassroots, it an act of pride,” said Kabogo.
The governor told the young generation that they would be the future of tomorrow and must respect the elders in the society who have more experienced in leadership and taming irresponsive children.
He said that the county government did not choose who to work with concerning matter of development but rather invited both young and old to table their ideas.
Kabogo toured most areas in Kiambu town including Ngewa where he said that he was establishing bonding between him and common Mwananchi at the grass root.
