Kiambu Governor says he has written to the Education Cabinet Secretary Prof Jacob Kaimenyi on the issue of Form One selections that were conducted last month.
Kabogo has lamented that many students from the county who performed well were denied chances to join national schools located in Kiambu County despite their having chosen them.
"Here in Kiambu, we have national schools like Mang'u, Alliance and Thika High School among many others but when our children perform so well and qualify to be admitted there they don't," said Kabogo.
The governor cited the case of a girl who got over 400 marks but was admitted in a faraway school in Taita Taveta County.
"The parents of this girl are poor that they cannot even afford the bus fare to go and enquire about what is required. Another one had been admitted at Alliance Boys but because they are poor, the chance was given to another student," he said in Kiambu on Sunday.
Kabogo has said that he has attached the two cases in his letter to the CS. At the same time Kabogo asked the President to intervene to regain stakeholder’s confidence in Prof Kaimenyi.
