Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has admitted of being under pressure to perform and wants county leaders to give him space to deliver his development agenda for the Kiambu people.
Addressing the public at Lari town on Sunday, Kabogo accused a section of county leaders of mounting unnecessary pressure on his government.
Kabogo said that his government has a clear road map for development but a section of leaders want to derail it.
“I am not happy with what is going on here in Kiambu, a section of leaders are determined to frustrate my work,” said Kabogo.
The Governor said service delivery to the people is almost being hampered by leaders he accused of inciting the public against him.
Kabogo, however, vowed to stand firm, stating that his detractors are led by selfish and personal politics.
He said that the Kiambu government has achieved a lot in the past two years of devolution and will focus on serving the people.
The Kiambu boss challenged residents to stand by him because they elected him as their governor.
Elsewhere, Kabete MP Ferdinand Waititu said he has nothing personal against Governor Kabogo.
Waititu who was speaking in Kinoo on Sunday urged Kabete residents to rally behind leaders who will bring change to them.
