Kiambu County Senator Kimani Wamatangi has asked the county government to prioritise its budget and focus on projects that will benefit the people.
The senator has accused the county government of lacking focus and priority.
Speaking at Thika town on Thursday, Wamatangi said that the county will continue to lag behind if its top leaders fail to prioritize.
“It is unfortunate and unfair for the county government to be lavishing money on projects that will not help the people in the long run,” he said.
The senator observed that most Kiambu locals are languishing in abject poverty, unemployment and diseases yet the county government can afford to spend millions on unnecessary things.
The Kiambu asked Kabogo to have a plan that will help him deliver to the people. “The problem of working without a plan is that you end up spending without plan,” he said.
The senator urged county leaders to help the government make decisions that will benefit the people. He vowed to continue correcting and speaking against practices he feels are not good for the people.
Wamatangi urged the county governor to soften his stand on issues and allow dialogue, adding that Kiambu belongs to them all and must work together to build it.
