Speaking in Kiambu Town on Monday, Kabogo said residents seeking help from his office will have to prove they are enlisted as voters before accessing services.

"From today anyone coming to my office will have to produce an ID and the voter's card. Without the two, I will not talk to them," Kabogo said.

The governor said he had observed that a good number of people in county particularly the youth lack the two vital documents.

"Without an ID the government of Kenya does not recognise you. How do you then access government services such as Biashara Fund which my administration has been distributing?" he wondered.

Kabogo urged residents to come out and register in large numbers ahead of August 8 general elections, noting that he has provided 72 vehicles to be used during the one-month exercise.

"All county government vehicles will be used to ferry the sick, the elderly and the vulnerable to voter registration centres. We are not leaving to chance," Kabogo noted.
