Kabras Sugar on Sunday lifted the inaugural Sepetuka Sevens after beating Impala Sevens 26-7 in the entertaining final played at the Eldoret Sports club.

The Sugar millers went ahead through a Johnstone Muhanji try that was converted by Dominic Osino before Impala leveled through Mark Kwemoi's try and conversion.

Osino restored Kabras lead with a try but Brian Tanga failed to convert putting them at 12-7.

Fidel Oloo scored the Sugar millers third try that was converted by Osino before Felix Ayange scored the fourth try as Kwemoi converted to seal his sides first trophy of the season.

Kabras sugar had finished third in the Kabeberi sevens and fifth at Driftwood and Prinsloo.

"I'm very happy to see my players play well in a tight match which was competitive. The boys had prepared themselves well for this contest," Kabras Sugar coach Charles Cardovillis was quoted by the Nation after the win. 

During the Semi finals, Impala edged out Driftwood champions Homeboyz, who are also the National Sevens Series champions 26-19, while Kabras thrashed Oilers 39-0.

Strathmore Leos won the Challenge Trophy after narrowly beating the University of Nairobi’s Mean Machine 24-17.
