Nairobi businesswoman Josephine Kabura has revealed the trick she used to capture government tenders at the National Youth Service.

Kabura who appeared before the Parliamentary Accounts Committee on Tuesday to shed more light on the multi-million NYS saga told the parliamentarians that she decided to register as many companies as possible in a bid to capture the tenders.

"I registered so many companies to increase my chances of getting business from the government and many other companies out there," said Kabura.

Kabura who also admitted being the sole power behind the 20 companies also said that she personally managed her companies.

"Most of the companies were registered and I did the work alone. I was able to manage all of them," she said.

Some of the companies she owns include Formes Homes Builders,Roof and All Trading,Smart Board and Reinforced Concrete Technologies.

Some of her companies are said to have received money under questionable circumstances from the National Youth Service in what was later came to be known as a 791 graft scandal.

However,after an audit,it was declared that around 1.8billion was lost to the scam

Kabura was allegedly the biggest beneficiary in the entire ordeal with her companies bagging  1.299 billion shillings on account of 11 different businesses as was declared by Auditor General Edward Ouko.
