Kahangara claimed that some politicians were inciting locals on matters land.

The MP while speaking after a meeting with locals at Kinale on Sunday said that land matters are sensitive and could easily cause conflict.

He claimed that some well-known politicians were inciting locals to violence on matters touching on land.

“It is wrong for politicians to incite locals on sensitive matters like land,” he said adding that some politicians had incited locals to invade the Kinale Village settlement scheme.

Kahangara said that land matters should be left with the Ministry of Lands and the National Lands Commissions (NLC) to handle.

Meanwhile, Kahangara has urged the national government o issue land titles to genuine land owners in the area.

The MP said that many landowners in the area have not land titles.

He observed that cases of conflict as a result of land were steadily rising in the area.
