Machakos county Governor's spokesman has stated that 86, 000 people are set to receive land title deeds from the Cabinet Secretary of Lands Prof Kaimenyi.
Speaking during a media briefing, the governor's office spokesman Mutinda Mwanzia stated that the cabinet Secretary would issue the lands documents to the owners in three different areas.
"There are 86, 000 title deeds to be issued on Tuesday in Machakos town, Tala area and Matuu in Yatta sub-county," said Mwanzia.
Mwanzia further called upon the residents to avail themselves on time so as to facilitate the issuing activity.
"Prof Jacob Kaimenyi will be arriving in Kenyatta stadium at 9 A.M, at midday and the delegation will head to Tala and at 2 P.M in Matuu HGM where residents of Yatta and Masinga sub-counties will receive their land documents," he added.
Machakos area County Commissioner Matilda Sakwa has also called upon the residents to take advantage of the deeds rather than rush to sell their lands at a throw away price.
