Lands Cabinet Secretary Prof Jacob Kaimenyi, Kenya Railways Managing Director Atanas Maina and National Lands Commission (NLC) Commissioners are due before the National Assembly Lands Committee Monday over the ouster of NLC Chair Mohammed Swazuri.
The three are expected to meet the Departmental Lands Committee which is investigating bribery allegatiobns against Swazuri.
Swazuri is accused by a former journalist, Mugo Njeru.
Njeru has claimed that , Swazuri demanded a bride of Sh1.2 million upon payment of compensation for land which the government acquired for the Standard Gauge Railway project along Mombasa Road.
It remains unclear however if Swazuri will appear before the committee given that he secured orders Wednesday from the High Court barring the committee from proceeding with the matter.
