Any project identified for development and improvement by the county government will soon be completed.
According to Roads County Executive Eng Maina Kairu, all projects that were budgeted for in the new financial year will be completed in time. He has reassured residents of the county government’s commitment for improved service delivery.
Addressing journalists on Monday at Salgaa Shopping Centre after visiting the site meant for construction of a parking lot for long distance trucks, Eng Kairu called for patience saying that everything was under control.
“All that was discussed during our budget public participation forums has been put into consideration by the committee. The committee will oversee implementation of the same,” he said.
He added, “Funds have been allocated for all identified projects and it’s a matter of time before we hit the ground working.”
The planning expert outlined public participation and inclusion as important elements in development arguing that everyone within the society feels part of the projects being implemented in their areas.
Already, a majority of projects including modern kiosks, street lighting, garbage collection, road and fly over constructions are on track while others are nearing completion.
