Kenya Ferry Services (KFS) Chairman Ramadhan Kajembe has cautioned Jubilee gubernatorial aspirants in Mombasa against party divisions.
Kajembe said the division among the candidates will assure Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho a second term in office.
Addressing women campaigning for President Uhuru Kenyatta under the umbrella ‘Warembo na Uhuru’, at Azuri Club in Mombasa on Friday, Kajembe urged the various Jubilee aspirants to unite in order to increase their chances of muscling Joho out of office in next year’s polls.
Kajembe, who has declared interest in the Mombasa senatorial seat, said he is the process of uniting former Kisauni MP Ananiah Mwaboza and businessman Suleiman Shahbal, who have both declared interest in the Mombasa gubernatorial race.
The KFS chair further criticized Jubilee leaders seeking direct nominations, and asked the electorate not to vote for such leaders.
“They are seeking leadership from Nairobi but we are here on the ground and want to ask you our supporters to elect the one who will deliver the seat to Jubilee,” said Mr Kajembe.
The outspoken leader urged local residents to support Jubilee aspirants, saying the party will provide residents with jobs as well as initiate development projects in the region.
