[@EmbuAssembly]Many were perplexed, when she declared her interest in vying for an MCA post, down from being a Senator.Kakamega County outgoing Nominated Senator, Godliver Omondi, represented people living with disabilities, at the Senate.Before the August 8 polls, she without fear, expressed interest in representing her electorates at the ward level. Luckily, she succeeded after the elections."I am very satisfied, and okay to serve my people at this position. This is what I wanted. It's not about the position you hold, but you are doing about it, for the people," said the new Kholera ward MCA elect.Omondi vied on an Amani National Congress (ANC) party ticket, garnering 3,657 votes over her closest challenger, ODM's Karim Wesonga Tingili who got 2,657.The incumbent, Abel Nambwaya, defended his seat, but came third with 1,423 votes.Godliver is a disabled, 44-year-old mother of three, who Kholera residents said, is a working leader.
