[Photo/www.actors.co.ke]Kakamega senator Cleophas Malala was on Wednesday detained before being charged with incitement.According to his charge sheet, Malala is accused of inciting his supporters to boycott the October 26 fresh presidential poll during a past political rally in Kakamega town.The senator is claimed to have dared anyone to take the presidential ballot papers boxes to Muliro Gardens, remarks that the charge sheet says were meant to disrupt the October 26 repeat election in Kakamega.Malala however denied the charges denied the charges and was released on cash bail of Sh300,000.He was represented lawyer David Masake.“My client was enjoying miscellaneous application from the superior court and showed goodwill by presenting himself to police in the morning, but the police detained him for hours irrespective of the orders,” said Masaka as quoted by Daily Nation.The case will be heard on January 16 next year.
