Kakamega senator Cleophas Malala on Sunday gifted NASA leader Raila Odinga with a Bible at the Kakamega golf hotel ahead of his 'swearing-in' scheduled for January 30.

The opposition leader has dared the government to arrest National Super Alliance (NASA) members after the inauguration.

"On January 30, I will be sworn in and this time it's a real deal and anyone saying its treason let him come and arrest us. The event is not only about carrying the Bible and saying 'I swear', we want to make it real. We want this swearing-in process to be inclusive of all Kenyans. That's why we are discussing before we go ahead,” Raila said.

The Kakamega senator urged Raila to heed calls from Kenyans and take the oath.

Speaking at the event Vihiga senator told Raila that he was wasting time and he should take the oath as soon as possible.

"Kenyans are tired and Raila is wasting our time. We want him to take an oath now," said Mr Khaniri.
