[Photo| the-star]Kakamega senator Cleophas Malala has hit out at those calling on the Amani National Congress (ANC) party to decamp from NASA to Jubilee due to the ongoing internal wrangles over leadership positions. Speaking to journalists on Friday in Kakamega, Malala said that ANC was in NASA to stay and that those calling for its exit from the coalition don’t have the party’s interests at heart.The opposition senator further urged ANC members to stick with NASA."ANC is in NASA to stay and those agitating for the party to decamp are jubilee moles who don’t have the party’s interests at heart," Malala said as quoted by the Star. "We are in NASA to stay and if there is any problem within the coalition, we shall tackle it from within," the lawmaker added. He added: "What will happen if we decamp and we are not again given the positions we want? As one of the senior ANC members, I can assure you we shall sort out our issues without running away."

The senator said the Musalia Mudavadi-led party should elect more leaders so that it can get many leadership positions in parliament."It is important to strengthen our party by electing many leaders so that we can get many elective leadership positions in parliament," he said.
