Former Kibwezi MP Kalembe Ndile has now clarified that he did not join the Jubilee party to fatten his pockets but to represent his people.

Speaking during an interview with KBC on Wednesday, Kalembe explained that he needed a platform where his issues could be easily channeled to all Kenyans and that he could no get from his former outfit The Independent Party (TIP).

"I did not join Jubilee for my personal gains but to get a platform to address my issues to Kenyans. My main aim is to tell Kenyans of how peace is critical to the prosperity of our nation and I don't think I could have found the voice in TIP," he said.

"I wanted a platform where I can tell Kenyans that even an office messenger like I was, can rise to be somebody," he added.

The Mavoko MP hopeful also asked party leaders to stop endorsing their preferred candidates just because they want people who cannot question their political stance.

"The problem with our party leaders is that they want leaders who follow them like sheep without questioning their actions, they don't want people who cannot challenge them and this is found in Jubilee and Cord," he said.
