Former Kibwezi Member of Parliament Kalembe Ndile now says Jubilee and opposition leaders, usually, have their preferred candidates during elections and will always do anything to have them clinch their party tickets to run for elective posts.

The vocal politician noted that the leader are interested in leader who would obey them without questioning them or their actions.

He also added that some leaders did not need to campaign or engage their people because they were close to the party leaders and would therefore be endorsed.

"The problem with our party leaders is that they want leader who follow them like sheep without questioning their actions, they don't want people who cannot challenge them and this is found in Jubilee and CORD," he  told KBC TV on Monday.

"I once asked an aspirant why he was not campaign and he told me as long as he is close to Raila he would clinch the the party ticket without going to ask for voters from Kenyans," he added.

Kalembe, however, said he believed that Kenyans were enlightened enough to choose leader that would benefit them and Kenyans are able to gauge leaders based on their performance.

"For me i believe that leaders can be chosen for the work they have done for the people," said the Mavoko MP hopeful.
