Former Kibwezi MP Kalembe Ndile has expressed disssapointment after failing to make it to President Uhuru Kenyatta's cabinet list.
Speaking to journalists at Mavoko Town on Sunday, the former MP who folded his TIP TIP party to merge with Jubilee Party last year said that he will be making a major statement soon.
Ndile, who unsuccessfully contested for the Mavoko Parliamentary seat in last year's polls said that he expected to feature in Uhuru's cabinet.
The former lawmaker also complained that the Kamba community was left out of Uhuru's new cabinet.
"I am disappointed bacause I did not feature in Uhuru's cabinet list and ambasodarial positions announced on Friday but I am not giving up in my push to be in government ,"he said.
Kalembe said that he campaigned for Jubilee in Ukambani region that is considered an opposition stronghold.
"We did our best and managed a sizeable votes for Jubilee in Ukambani and we expected to get a good share of cabinet slots," he said.
Ndile asked his supporters to remain calm stating that the will be making a major political statement in the coming days.
Ndile is among Kamba politicians who campaigned for Jubilee in last year's polls and were expecting to get a reward in terms of government positions.
President Kenyatta on Friday last week unveiled his full cabinet list as he restructured the government in his second and final term.
Uhuru's cabinet has elicited mixed reactions among Kenyans, political analysts and leaders who say that it is anchored on his develoment agenda and the 2022 sucession politics.
