According to Waichere, the new library will greatly boost the education sector in Kalimoni since it can accommodate learners from the primary level and the secondary level.

He said that plans are underway in expanding the library to be able to accommodate up to tertiary level which are the colleges and universities sectors.

The law maker donated some of the books to the secondary and primary schools in the ward and Gachororo Primary School being the highest beneficiary from the program.

Waichere who was speaking on Thursday in Juja farm during the launching of Juja farm Education Empowerment program said that the new library was funded by the county government of Kiambu and thus urged the residents to embrace the new development.

The MCA appealed to the parents to encourage their young one to use the library to their advantage in order to help the students gain more knowledge in education.

“Please tell your sons and daughter to come to the new library which is slightly equipped with books rather than staying in the homes doing nothing,” said Waichere.

He added that he is working towards ensuring Kalimoni ward is well equipped with facilities of learning to ensure the schools record high performance in the oncoming examinations.

The legislator has called on well wishers in the country to come join hand to save education sector in the Juja sub county which is in a wanting state in line with vision 2030.

He has however extended his gratitude to the county government of Kiambu and Governor William Kabogo for fulfilling his promises of establishing a library in the ward.
